About Me
I have been quilting for over twenty years.
I started out hand quilting my projects but once I had a domestic sewing machine that I could lower the feed dogs on, I began freemotion quilting.
I enjoy making art quilts as well as utility and show quilts. After making and quilting quite a few bed sized quilts I bought a sit down longarm in 2012. A handiquilter sweet 16.
Oh how I loved that machine! I had all of the space and no more struggling to handle big quilts at a regular sewing machine. In March of 2015 I upgraded and bought the longarm I use now. An Innova on a quilt frame.
The frame is large enough that I can accommodate king sized quilts. My home is smoke free and I do all my work in an 18' x 28’ studio. Pets are only in my home as visitors and never come into my workspace when visiting.
I love freemotion, I am totally hand guided. I have no computers or robotics on the machine. My work is organic in feel and ever evolving.
I don’t shy away from trying new techniques and exploring new ideas. I am happy to discuss your ideas, and work on a quilting plan.
Please don’t hesitate to ask me questions about different levels of quilting, what is involved in my process. So happy to get acquainted and talk quilts!
